Why Timber Jewellery Just Feels Right

Timber isn’t the usual choice for jewellery — and maybe that’s why it makes so much sense. It’s natural. Renewable. It grew in the sun and rain, pulling carbon from the air as it reached for the sky. Now it’s shaped into something you can carry with you.

Our Blue Gum is something special — salvaged, sawn and turned, then finished by hand to bring out the gentle shimmer in the grain, a glow that shifts with the light. Woodturners call it “chatoyance” — that soft, moving shine.

We finish each bangle using a modern, more durable take on French polishing. A traditional method used on fine old furniture.

It catches the light, and the piece comes to life. It looks a little different in each and every space.

Some of our bangles feature a coloured inlay — a shimmering band set into the timber. It’s made using a custom simulant, inspired by traditional costume jewellery but uniquely our own. No stones, no mines — just a thoughtful way to add contrast and colour, designed to catch the light and complement the grain.

The bangle you receive won’t be exactly like the one in the photos. And that’s kind of the point.

Each one is turned, then finished by hand. The colours shift. The grain dances. Shapes vary just a little — because trees aren’t straight lines, and we like it that way.

Water Precautions:

Your bangles are rain-resistant, but avoid wearing them while bathing, showering, or swimming.

Optional Waxing:

An occasional application of pure Carnauba wax will ensure your bangles' sparkle!
